Massee Lane Gardens
One of the finest collections of camellias in the world – more than 1,000 varieties – fills nine acres around the headquarters of the American Camellia Society in Fort Valley, Georgia. Stroll the brick walkways surrounding the camellia trees for easy viewing. Not camellia season? Come to visit the Avera-Peterson Children’s Garden, Scheibert Rose Garden, Abendroth Japanese Garden, and seasonal plantings of daffodils, daylilies, chrysanthemums, azaleas, flowering trees, annuals and perennials. There is always something blooming at Massee Lane Gardens.

Lane Southern Orchards
Stop at Lane Southern Orchards’ huge Roadside Market for your fill of fresh local, seasonal produce – much of it from the family farm’s 3,000 acres of peach orchards, 3,000 acres of pecan groves and a special patch of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, apples, scuppernongs, muscadines and kiwi. Farm tours, packing house tours, and other events take place seasonally. Any time of year, you can sample some homemade favorites in the café. Have a seat in a rocking chair on the front porch and relax.

Pearson Farm
Pearson Farm in Fort Valley has been acclaimed by Southern Living magazine for its delicious peach ice cream made from its own tree-ripened peaches. Pearson Farm peaches have been roadside market-fresh since the 1890s. From mid-May through mid-August, walk-in customers are welcome at the packing house in the Old Zenith School. In the fall, scoop up a bag of pecans from the Pearson pecan grove for your holiday baking.

Troutman House
See the 1855 Greek Revival-style Troutman House in Fort Valley, Georgia, now the Welcome Center for Peach County. The house originally sat several thousand yards southeast of its present location in a grove of trees surrounded by pasture land. The home has undergone an extensive renovation and now serves as home to the Fort Valley Downtown Development Authority and MainStreet, the Georgia Peach Festival, the Peach County Chamber of Commerce, the Welcome Center and the Peach County Development Authority.

Fort Valley State University (Campus Tour)
Fort Valley State University invites visitors to its beautiful, 1,365-acre campus throughout the year; however the best time to visit the campus is during the weekday when classes are in session. Members of the Student ambassadors lead campus tours. To provide you with the best possible campus visit, please schedule a campus tour in advance; at least a week's notice is sufficient.

Anderson House
Fort Valley State University’s oldest building, the Anderson House, contains the Biggs Collection of period furnishings, silver, glassware, china, quilts, linens and Civil War memorabilia. The majority of the items date from about 1860 to 1900. The English Victorian furniture outfitted the parlor, dining room and bedrooms of an antebellum home in Box Springs, Georgia. The contents of the home were bequeathed by the plantation owner to Mr. Biggs’ grandmother, who was a slave.

Museum of Aviation
With a collection dating from a replica of an early 1896 glider to modern-era aircraft such as the B-1B bomber, the SR-71 Blackbird, the U-2 Dragon Lady and F-15 Eagle, the Museum of Aviation is the second largest museum in the U.S. Air Force and the fourth most visited museum in the Department of Defense. Exhibits tell the story of aviation events from World War II to the present, including depicting the mission of Robins Air Force Base, the largest industrial employer in Georgia. The on-site Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame displays the achievements and artifacts of civilian and military men and women who made significant contributions to aviation in Georgia. Located adjacent to Robins Air Force Base, the museum is free to visit.

Tilford Winery & Farms
Tour the only muscadine winery in the Southeast to make dry, sweet and semi-sweet organic wines.
